End-to-end IT and business infrastructure for BYD Motors Baku
BYD's official distributor in Azerbaijan was scaling a national dealer network and needed every back-office layer to scale with it. We co-led a multi-year build covering servers, security, ERP, the call centre, the public website, and SEO — every layer running on one unified network.

Starting point
BYD Motors Baku was opening showrooms, signing dealer partners, and onboarding sales and after-sales staff at a pace the existing IT setup could not absorb. There was no shared data layer between branches, no unified telephony, no ERP, and no public-facing site that could carry the brand at the level a global automaker expects.
The brief was clear: stand up the entire operational stack in one coordinated programme, then keep it running. The studio was brought in as the long-term partner — Bəhram İbadov leading infrastructure, Elvin Şərifov leading product, web, and SEO — so that every layer was specified, built, and operated by the same team.
Decisions
- One unified network, not a patchwork — every showroom, the head office, the call centre, and the data server share a single routed network with consistent security policies, so a new branch can be added without rebuilding the model.
- Data server on premises, with a hardened perimeter — vehicle records, customer data, and dealer reporting live inside infrastructure we control; firewall, segmentation, and access policy are documented and reviewed.
- ERP as the spine — sales, after-sales, parts, finance, and reporting all run through one ERP instance, so the leadership team reads one set of numbers instead of reconciling spreadsheets.
- Call centre wired into the same identity layer — agents authenticate against the same directory as the showroom staff, calls are logged against ERP records, and routing follows the network we already operate.
- Website and SEO owned in-house, by us — the public site is treated as a product, not a brochure: technical SEO, content structure, and analytics are tuned continuously rather than rebuilt every two years.
Execution
The programme was rolled out in waves. Network and data server first, then security systems and ERP, then the call centre, then the website and SEO. Each wave landed with documentation, an internal owner, and a handover session so the in-house team could operate it without us in the room. We stayed as the long-term partner — patching, hardening, extending, and adding new branches as the dealer network grew.
"A distributor for a brand this size cannot afford an infrastructure that 'mostly works'. We built one system, owned by one team — and that is why three years later it still holds."

Result
- Unified national network — every showroom, the head office, and the call centre operate on the same routed, segmented network.
- ERP as a single source of truth — sales, service, parts, and finance reconciled inside one system rather than across siloed tools.
- Public site and SEO operated as a product — the brand presence in Azerbaijan is maintained continuously, not rebuilt every cycle.
- Security posture owned end-to-end — firewall, perimeter, and access policy documented and reviewed under one ownership.
- A multi-year partnership — the studio is still the long-term operator of the stack, not a hand-off vendor.
