This site is built to collect as little about you as possible. No cookies. No Google Analytics. No Meta Pixel. The list below is the whole list.

What we collect

1. Plausible analytics

Page views are measured with Plausible Analytics — an open-source, cookie-free, privacy-respecting tool. Per visit we record only:

  • The page URL
  • The referring site, if any
  • Browser and OS family (just the broad bucket — for example "Safari, macOS")
  • Country (resolved from IP, but the IP itself is not stored)
  • Device type (desktop / mobile / tablet)

The IP address is hashed once on the server into a daily identifier and never written to disk in raw form.

2. The audit form (only if you submit it)

The form on /audit only stores what you type into it (URL, name, email, short context). The form is optional — if you don't use it, nothing is sent. Anything that gets forwarded to an AI pipeline is anonymised first.

3. Third-party trackers

None. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no ad-network pixels, no tracking inside embedded video. Fonts and scripts are served from our own domain.

Where data lives

  • Plausible analytics — on Plausible's EU servers (Germany).
  • Audit form submissions — encrypted storage in the EU. For AI processing, anonymised excerpts may be sent to third-party APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic).
  • Email correspondence — in our EU-hosted ProtonMail mailbox.

How long data is kept

  • Plausible analytics: 30 days, then deleted.
  • Audit form data: 30 days in our archive, then deleted (matches the notice on the audit page).
  • Email correspondence: standard archival period (about 24 months, for follow-up and accountability).

Your rights under GDPR

If you're visiting from the EU or UK, GDPR gives you these rights:

  • Access — ask for a copy of any data we hold about you.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete it.
  • Portability — ask for the data in a machine-readable format.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
  • Objection — ask us to stop processing.

To exercise any of these, write to salam@qaynaq.com. We respond within 30 days, usually within 24 hours.

Changes

If this notice changes, the timestamp above gets updated and any material change gets a note in the journal.
