A native mobile app for retail loyalty
Retail repeat-customer loyalty is hard to hold and coupons get lost on paper. We built a native app that holds brand identity, bonuses, coupons, and the customer profile in one place — including QR-based in-store points.

Starting point
In retail, the repeat customer is valuable but you have to systematise to hold them. Coupons get lost on paper, in-store bonuses are hard to track, and the customer profile is scattered across channels. The brand also needs a direct communication line.
The brief: a native mobile app that carries the brand identity precisely and can be used directly in store.
Decisions
- Native iOS and Android — hybrid wouldn't carry the UX. The brand pays for that quality detail.
- QR-based in-store bonus — at the till, the customer shows their phone, points get applied automatically. Paper coupons gone.
- Push notifications — new coupons, campaigns, personal offers. No spam.
- Profile and purchase history — the customer sees their history; the brand gets aggregate data.
Execution
Stack: React Native (iOS + Android), Laravel backend, a push notification service. Brand design system mapped tightly — the Figma component library and the mobile component library are aligned.
“A mobile app as a brand identity carrier is practical. The customer's phone is in their pocket every day — the brand needs to live there.”
Result
- iOS and Android apps live.
- QR-based in-store bonus — paper coupons retired.
- Direct brand-to-customer channel via push.
- Customer profile and history feeding aggregate marketing data.
