A modular POS and ERP product of our own — 10+ live clients

Writing an ERP from scratch for every client wasn't economically sane. We built our own modular, customisable POS / ERP — sales, inventory, accounting, reporting in one system. Customised and deployed for dozens of clients.

Starting point

In POS / ERP, every shop, every restaurant, every warehouse wants a different workflow — tax rules, product categories, report layouts, receipt designs. Writing from zero for each is uneconomic. Off-the-shelf foreign products don't fit local tax and accounting rules.

The gap was clear: a base product that's modular on the core, customisable on top, and aligned with local tax and accounting requirements.

Decisions

  1. One core, modular extensions — every client sees the same base; differences live in modules above it (restaurant, retail, wholesale, services).
  2. Local tax and accounting compliance — this is exactly where foreign products fall down.
  3. Both SaaS and on-prem — some clients want their data on their own servers.
  4. Receipt printer, terminal, barcode scanner integration — has to work with the physical hardware in the shop.

Execution

Stack: PHP / Laravel + MySQL / Postgres, Vue.js frontend, React Native for mobile. Modules plug in — onboarding a new client takes weeks, not from-zero months.

“No client starts from a blank screen — they start from a base, and we layer their flow on top. That saves time for them and for us.”

Result

  • Dozens of clients live across retail, wholesale, restaurant, and services.
  • New client onboarding measured in days, not weeks.
  • Fully compliant with local tax and accounting rules.
  • Continuous product — new modules added on demand from clients.
